Débutant sur un large sentier forestier rapide et facile et parcourir, restez vigilant afin de conserver la droite à un semblant de fourche lorsque vous croiserez une rive sablonneuse à votre gauche. L'ascension plus raide de cette randonnée sur un herd path plutôt étroit débutera à l'embranchement sur la droite orné d'un très petit cairn que vous croiserez environ 200m plus loin. Sous un magnifique et vaste couvert forestier de bouleaux faisant place aux épinettes raides au fil de la montée, cette randonnée fut agréable par sa tranquillité. Il n'y avait aucune difficulté technique outre celle d'être à l'aise de marcher sur un sentier non balisé.
A l'atteinte de la crête, vous croiserez un premier faux sommet où vous aurez une vue sur votre objectif. Il faudra redescendre dans le col et poursuivre environ 500 m avant d'atteindre le vrai sommet boisé. Il aura une portion à contourner en raison d'une chute massive d'arbres. Rendu au sommet, vous apercevrez 2 pancartes, un canister et un magnifique point de vue sur la gauche donnant sur North Twin, la chaîne de Willey et le mont Washington.
Le retour se fait par le même sentier.
J'ai bien aimé. Il faut avouer que j'ai un faible pour les randonnées moins fréquentées offrant un sommet orné d'une pancarte et d'un canister.

Starting on a wide, quick and easy forest path, stay vigilant to keep to the right at a semblance of a fork when you come across a sandy bank on your left. The steeper ascent of this hike on a rather narrow herd path will begin at the fork on the right decorated with a very small cairn that you will come across about 200m further on. Under a magnificent and vast forest cover of birch trees giving way to stiff spruce trees as we climbed, this hike was pleasant in its tranquility. There were no technical difficulties other than being comfortable walking on an unmarked trail.
When you reach the ridge, you will come across a first false summit where you will have a view of your objective. You will have to go back down to the pass and continue for around 500 m before reaching the real wooded summit. It will have a portion to bypass due to a massive fall of trees. At the summit, you will see 2 signs, a canister and a magnificent viewpoint on the left overlooking North Twin, the Willey Range and Mount Washington.
The return is via the same path.
I liked. I must admit that I have a weakness for less frequented hikes offering a summit decorated with a sign and a canister.
