Accès et stationnement : St. Huberts Parking Area. Vous ne pouvez pas conduire sur Lake Road, sauf si vous êtes membre de l'AMR.
Vous devez vous garer sur le parking de St. Huberts et marcher 4,8 km (3 miles) sur Lake Road pour vous rendre au début de l'intersection avec Gill Brook Trail. Le premier 4,8 km sera un chemin plutôt plat, large et sans difficulté. Vous longerez un magnifique cours d'eau. Une fois sur Gill Brook trail et en empruntant ensuite Indian Head Trail, il ne vous restera que 2.4 km (1,5 mille) jusqu'au sommet. L'ascension se veut raide, mais sans difficulté particulière.
Indian Head est rapidement devenue l'une des randonnées les plus prisées du nord de l'État de New York. Avec sa vue unique sur le lac Lower Ausable et les High Peaks environnants comme Sawteeth et Gothic. Vous pourrez profiter de divers points de vue sur cap rocheux rendant cette randonnée franchement intéressante !
Lorsque vous serez redescendu de Indian Head, étant tout près, faites un petit détour vers Rainbow Falls, une chute très impressionnante avant de reprendre le chemin du retour !

You must park in the St. Huberts parking lot and walk 3 miles (4.8 km) on Lake Road to get to the start of the intersection with Gill Brook Trail. The first 4.8 km will be a fairly flat, wide and easy path. You will follow a magnificent stream. Once on Gill Brook trail and then taking Indian Head Trail, it's only 2.4 km (1.5 miles) to the top. The ascent is steep, but without particular difficulty.
Indian Head has quickly become one of upstate New York's most popular hikes. With its unique view of Lower Ausable Lake and the surrounding High Peaks like Sawteeth and Gothic. You will be able to enjoy various viewpoints on the rocky cape, making this hike really interesting!
When you come down from Indian Head, being very close, take a short detour to Rainbow Falls, a very impressive waterfall before heading back!
